Who We Are and What We Do

Our club works under the umbrella of Adventist Community Services, and ultimately under the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. The Southwestern Union Conference includes Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas. In the event of a disaster, our club will be activated with the first wave of volunteers that are dispatched to the disaster site. We will then set up radio equipment  in each location that we are in to communicate with each station. We will communicate by voice or by digital(computers) communications. We will also set up a HF rig at the main center and have someone manning the HF rig at the Disaster center located in Keene, TX. We will then communicate our needs at the disaster site to our disaster center and they will send it down with the next truck.

TAEC meets on the third Sunday of every month at the Adventist Disaster Depot north of Keene on 2280 at 7:00 P.M.

TAEC Net is on every Thursday evening at 7:30 PM on 443.125 repeater. It has a 110.9 tone.
